Scripture: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, authored by the Holy Spirit through human hands. It is our ultimate authority in all matters of life and faith.
God: We believe in one eternal God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, perfect and complete.
Sin and Redemption: Humanity fell into sin through disobedience. God, desiring that none perish, provided salvation through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ: Jesus is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross bearing our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again.
Salvation: Redemption comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. By faith, we are made children of God.
The Holy Spirit: Sent to convict the world of sin and lead to repentance, the Holy Spirit comforts, empowers, and imparts wisdom to believers.
The Church: The Church is called to be the living witness of God’s Kingdom—marked by peace, community, and worship that glorifies God in all things.
Sacraments:
Baptism: A sign of cleansing and renewal through the blood and Spirit of Christ.
Communion: A remembrance of Christ’s body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins and the nourishment of our souls.
At Moravia Presbyterian Church, our beliefs guide everything we do—from worship and teaching to community outreach and daily life.
We believe every person is created in God’s image and holds unique value and purpose.
We are committed to nurturing faith, character, and relationships through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our church is a welcoming, respectful, and grace-filled environment where all are invited to grow in faith.
We strive to live out our faith with integrity, love, and a spirit of excellence in every area of life.
Spiritual growth is a shared journey between individuals, families, and the church community.
We equip believers for lifelong discipleship, encouraging active faith and service in the world.
At the heart of the Church is a beautiful truth: we are many, yet one.
As Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”
We believe that:
We strive to be a community where all are welcomed, valued, and equipped, reflecting the unity and love of God’s Kingdom on earth.
